Six months or so ago, we planned a trip to New York City for our 25 year anniversary. A couple of days before leaving for New York, I suddenly saw on Facebook that Denyse Schmidt was having her studio sale the weekend we were arriving. This was of course an opportunity that couldn't be missed, so after a couple of hours of sleep (we arrived saturday), of we went on the Metro North train for the hour and a half ride to Bridgeport.
It was a fantastic opportunity to see many beautiful quilts that I've long admired on the internet, to see fabrics by Denyse and, las but certainly not least, to see Denyse Schmidt herself!

I bought way to much fabric, but it would have been foolish not to. After all, I'm not going to come back any time soon.

A new line for Joann's. I only bought one of the fabrics |

But I did buy a fat quarter pack of Ansonia, her new line |
